CHOICES FOR SUSTAINABLE LIVING
a 9-week discussion
Monday evenings, starting April 14, 7―8 p.m.
in Sodergren Lounge
Do you care about the earth? Want to live in a way that supports the earth’s wellbeing? Come explore the meaning of sustainable living and consider the ties between our lifestyle choices and their impact on the earth.
The goal is to provide an enjoyable, supportive setting where people can examine personal values and habits, engage in stimulating discussion, and make personal changes if desired. We’ll be using a popular course from the Portland-based Northwest Earth Institute with short essays on weekly themes. The first meeting is led by an experienced Earth Institute volunteer, and after that group members lead the conversations. The course is free, with an $18 book charge for those able to pay.
Why not come to the introductory session on Monday, April 14 and see if this is for you? Or if you’re sold already, invite a friend. Questions? Please contact Pastor Melinda (pastormelinda@firstimmanuelluth.org, 503/226-3659).
