weekly scripture reflection
Luke 12:13-21
Dear Friends, An abundant harvest—is it a blessing or a curse? Jesus’s parable provokes us to reflect on our possessions and the wealth we regard as belonging to us. Held onto exclusively for our own pleasure, they easily become a curse because they turn our attention inward, away from relationships that would nurture our spirits. Shared to serve the needs of neighbors, they create community and become a source of blessing and joy for all. Why do you think Jesus’ story is so hard on the rich man who wanted bigger barns? What do you think it means to be rich toward God? Pastor Aaron
