KIDS growing in faith 

We have a vibrant group of children & young families at First Immanuel and are creating an environment that is rich in faith formation and creativity. Sunday class groupings include Pre-K-Elementary grades, and Youth. Nursery care, too.  Music is led by our gifted choir director and Bach fanatic, Ralph Nelson!

We gather as a group each Sunday at 9:30-10:30 am in Sodergren Hall. Come join in the conversation as we explore a diverse mix of faith topics.  Check the homepage for our current class. Meets during the school year.

First Holy Communion

CONFIRMATION 
PROGRAM
Each year we offer a Saturday morning class to prepare children and youth to receive Holy Communion. This usually happens during Lent and includes children around the age of first grade, along with their parents. Please contact our Pastors to learn more!
 Middle school youth and parents join together to explore Luther's Small Catechism, collecting tools for our "faith toolbox" for building a Christian life. Contact Pastors to learn more!

First Immanuel high school youth are joining with youth from other area congregations for fun, food, fellowship, and more. Talk with one of the Pastors to learn more! There's plenty of room for you to get involved!

Youth activities

Our youth ministry is growing, and we plan to send several youth on a memorable trip to the ELCA Youth Gathering in July 2024 in New Orleans.  We are grateful for partnerships with other churches that make these great experiences possible!
